Thesis Topic
Local multiphysical characterization of veneers and veneer-based panels
Abstract
This thesis is part of the ANR BOOST project, which aims to demonstrate the possibility of using wood in the transportation industry. This industry, being highly automated and requiring standardized products, faces challenges due to the significant variability of wood. Therefore, it is necessary to finely analyze its properties to better understand its behavior. The objective of this thesis is to develop a system for measuring the local properties of veneers, specifically focusing on density, cracks induced during the peeling process, and fiber orientation.
